Ronda Hotel Guide
If you are searching for a quieter location then Ronda will probably suit, the town can still become busy during the summer months but this is mainly with day visitors. Ronda has an enviable position as it sits in and also around a deep gorge which is spanned by an incredibly impressive bridge called the Puente Nuevo. The bridge’s construction was completed in the year 1793 and inside the bridge is a small museum.
Shopping takes place in the town’s main street, Calle Espinal, where you will discover shops to suit all tastes. If you are hungry and after a snack then try one of the many bars or cafes as they will happily make you a quick sandwich to accompany a drink. For a delicious evening meal try the Cafe Bar Bodega San Francisco as they serve some lovely Andalusian dishes. Keep an eye out for bakeries as you will find some deliciously tasty pastries throughout Spain.
La Alameda is a peaceful park with plenty of walking routes and beautiful trees, the Plaza de Toros is the oldest bull ring throughout Spain which also houses a museum.
The older region of Ronda is called La Ciudad and here you will find quaint, twisting streets and two wonderful churches, one of them, the Palacio de Mondragon boasts beautiful gardens, a picturesque view and a small museum.
Casa del Rey Moro offers a spectacular view over the gorge where you can walk down 300 steps to the very bottom.
